In a remote area
of the northern California
Sierra mountains,
lives a gnarled, spike bearded,
leather faced, strange old man,
who prefers to live alone.
He spends his days rummaging
through the many old mining
and garbage dumps
of the rugged mountains,
searching for any silver
articles to be found.
When he finds something of silver,
he places it in a tattered
worn out filthy old burlap sack,
that he always carries
slung over his age bent shoulders.
If he sees or hears anyone
approaching, he scurries up
the nearest tall tree,
and in its uppermost branches
hides himself and his sack of silver.
