Anger Out by Richard VinceShe gave her soul to the sky
To the clouds, and the sunset
Over the horizon.
Her heart melted into the air
Above her head
As her soul grew wings
And became flight,
At one with the air,
Inspiration woven into the atmosphere
The song was sung in her scream
One of pain, and of anger.
Trees swayed, leaves rustled,
And the windows of empty factories
Shook in sympathy.
Birds soared and wheeled
In front of the glowing clouds
As the golden rays of a sinking Sun
Made intricate silhouettes
Of the gently wavering foliage.
And so, with the coming of the first star,
New light, new hope, new life,
Born in a heart once heavy
With festering sadness;
Now all tears cried. 07/25/2001 Posted on 10/06/2001 Copyright © 2025 Richard Vince
