If I Were a Flower

by Mary Ellen Smith

In the morning I would be Glory
At noon perhaps a rose.
Jasmine at night
A pure delight.
For the discriminating nose.

I would welcome garden fairies
Give nectar to the bee.
The butterfly
would flutterby
To say hello to me.

The dew I'ld put in teacups
t'would only take a drop.
The hummingbird
It has been heard
For tea will make a stop.

The ladybugs would gather near
A bright spot on the bloom.
And Underneath
A bright green leaf
A cool and shaded room.

Yes if I were a fragrant flower
And the gardens were my land
I'd be seen
Dressed up in green
A teacup in my hand.

Hi Mary Ellen, Just lovely. I do love different kinds of flowers. More of Gods creation. :)
