and the walls came tumbling down...

by Stephanie Myers

As she lays there,
eyes closed...
dried tears...
silently crying...
she sleeps.

Her heart is no longer protected by the thoughts of ambigous amour.
The walls came tumbling down
down
down
down?
Will the kings men put it back together again?
The queen of ice she shall become.

As she lays there,
dead to the world...
murming of yesterday...
patiently draining pain...
she turns.

The steel cage that surrounds her body slowly begins to fade into her skin.
Melting into her and burning
burning
burning
burning?
Who will stop the fiery pain?
The castle walls will never fall again.

As she opens her eyes,
bloodshot...
dry...
thinking...
she rises.

Taking another step towards a tomorrow she can no longer fear.
Shaking away the cobwebs and dust
dust
dust
dust?
Cleaning house to start anew?
Tomorrow is the yesterday's forgotten.
