CHRISTMAS WOMAN by Charles E Minshall ______________________________
Like a balloon with a slow leak Her tired body sagged. A scream she would bring forth At any thing bagged.
Christmas is over, Not a package to wrap. No boxes left, Not even one flap.
The Christmas tree Is dogge dieux brown, But she has no energy To take it down.
Then she remembered This Is New Years Eve She'll wear the deep vee neck With the sequined sleeve. _______________________________ 09/30/2001 Posted on 09/30/2001 Copyright © 2024 Charles E Minshall

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 12/19/02 at 03:48 AM After Christmas let down that has to be postponed! The dress a suggestion that she is attempting to detract from her weariness (that somehow it will not show). |
