Devon-Blond, Blind, True Love.

by Omi Salavea

There's a tunnel of sorrow
with no light at its end,
whre shadows stand behind you,
and Darkness is your friend.
But Darkness is a better friend,
then those you've had before,
he stands there quietly and listens
and never asks for more-
than just a little bit of grief,
which your heart will give him gladly,
and he'll snatch it up quickly
and engulf you in his arms.
For although it may seem sadly,
you've been taken by his charms.
Both standing at the alter
as his shadows dance around
though you may try to find one,
no preacher will be found.
Why would a man of holy virtues,
want to hear your secret, whispered vows
not unlike confession, though
Christ is not involved
in the rapture, in the bonding,
of a young heart and her depression.
