This rose that I will hand to you
Was given from my heart
But there's somethign that this rose cant' do
That something is my part

Last night I acted like an ass
By leaving you alone
Or the words I said in one big mass
Were strictly out of tone

I didn't mean to be that way
It's not because of you
There were things that night I didn't say
I held in tha tmade me blue

This rose that I amd giving you
Forever it will stand
But something that this rose can't do
Is always hold your hand
