Dim

by Scott M Pratchner

Dull sunlight
A dreamscape blur
And mediocre tale
Of lukewarm fire
Of nothing dire
This bread is turning stale

Dragons slain
Well almost so
And treasure nearly found
A half-caught fish
A half-baked wish
This shout is void of sound

Good intentions
Like better poems
Are wrtten often, true?
And when you say
"How are you this day?"
I'll reply "I'm dim, how are you?"
