Nature's Trinity

by Leandra K Brossard

The wind follows its own caprice,
The mountains choose their stay,
and rivers run on aimlessly
down long-forgotten ways.
However, once the path is set,
there is no other way,
the carving has been "set in stone"
and the river grinds away.
The mountains stand their chosen ground
with admirable fame,
yet, invisibly, they are still worn down-
simply, grain by grain.
The wind alone, remains itself,
the freest of the three.
It's fluidity of grace
and simply originality
keeps it flowing ever on,
unique from place to place.
