Knowledge of Self by Leandra K BrossardThou knowest not what thou must see,
Thou seest not what thou must know,
The sable writhing of the sea
Combats the placid white of snow.
Thou speakest not of thou your mind,
Thou mindest not the words you speak,
The vat of consiousness sublime,
Is emptied by a single leak.
Thou hearest not what thou must find,
Thou findest not what thou must hear,
The wonders of the richest mine,
Encased within a single tear.
Thou needest not of that thou seek,
Thou seekest not that thou hast need,
Beware ye now of which ye seek,
Of darkness and of lightness freed.
Those who know not what they seem
Are seemingly not known themselves,
Such is the unrelenting keen,
A window to their inner cells.
