Cyber Friend

by Adrian Calhoun

Friends at the opposite ends of technology,
words from the keyboards,
voices never heard, eyes never seen,
but friends just the same.

Some common ground, interest,
as if by chance, fate brought us together.
I am thankful and fortunate
to have met you.

Amazing the emotion and spirit
that can be revealed without saying a word.
The mutual shoulder shared,
the comforting words on a screen,
full of meaning, which have helped me greatly.

Events of day to day life,
no matter what happens or where I go,
I know I can always count on you
and that somewhere in cyberspace,
a friend is just a click away.

Through it all we have managed
to build a friendship that seems
as if we have known each other for years.

For all the times youv'e been there for me,
thank you !
Knowing that the same favor,
is always here, a click away.

Be it a smile,
words of comfort,
comments on works,
or just a much needed cyber hug.
Whatever it is, it's always here.

A good day with good news,
a bad day,
or another lonely time.
We are here for each other,
in heart, mind, and spirit,
reaching out.

Not to confuse or read anything into it,
as a friend I am thankful for you,
and as a friend, I love you.

*hug*

A wonderful tribute to cyberfriends. A sentimental and tender description of those who find real companionship and emotional support across the miles in cyberspace. You've expressed it so well. Though we do not communicate often I certainly consider you a cyberfriend.

A wonderful tribute to our friends who are on the other end of technology. If not for that, we would not have some of the BEST friends that we've ever had. Good Work, Mr. C.
