doped up on advil and sudafed

northern lights casting a faint green glow
shooting star as i listen to jewel
remembering pains best forgotten
i cry floatingly in the silence
of a woman singing
i want to remember what it's like
to be in love
so i'm thinking of you
and hoping you come online tonight
so i might tell you
but emptiness there instead
of the shining radiance of your eyes

roses on the ground, shattered dead
broken tears bleeding forth
on watercolor dreams
of me looking down on you
next to your body, smiling
more tears as i think of a kiss
that i could share with you
and show you the universe
flying through ether
hand in hand
