moonbeams play with the frost
forming on my window.
I watch as a single frozen nucleus forms
then spreads out across the glass,
arms reaching, growing outward
towards other reaching arms
until they touch,
tenderly at first,
then they grow together
reforming into one being,
growing further to cover my entire window,
obscuring the moon to a soft hazy glow
of pale white light.
