Looking to east
The shadows tower above me
Silver moon playing a game
of peek-a-boo
Amazement at the beautious
nature
Taking a moment to capture
this vision with my memory
So that I may remember
years to come

The stillness
wraps it's arms
around me
Quieting the thoughts
that run rampant
through my head

A peaceful calm
overtakes my
being
A wellness enters
my soul

The thoughts
of dying
pass me by
The pain
i've felt
dissipates slowly
like the fizzing of
alka-seltzer
in my glass on
my nightstand

Closing my eyes
to reach my senses
into the opening
beyond
Capturing every
moment with my
butterly net
To place inbetween
the books I hold
dearly to my
heart

Nestled snug
into my bosom
I take this with me
