Faerie Tale

by Stephanie Myers

Exemplifying perceptions
that have mystified us for centuries
Envoking spirits from their graves

::come out and play:: we chant

Incantantions through fiery smoke
Heavy on my breath
Unaware of my Nakedness surround

::come out and play:: we chant

Perspiration breaks my skin
Anticipating the arrival
Cold but Hot flashing through
my already dead shell

::come out and play:: we chant

Three times around
Three times again
Three times
Three times
Three

In the middle ground of
the floor
The bodies pass me
by
Brushing against my skin
Convulsions of Joy

::come out and play:: they say

Like a thousand tops
we spin a thousand times
Limbs flying uncontrollably
Pollen falling like snow within a
Snow-Globe atmosphere

::they play:: we cry

::they play:: they shout

Exhaustion overtakes our
energy well spent
Collapsing onto the ground

::they rest:: they whisper

Through the Night
they escape
To their place unknown
Amongst the shadows
