What makes you do that?
What makes you turn away?
Is it me?
Is it somehow my fault,
something I said,
or did?
Or is it your fear
of committment,
of opening up,
of letting me in;
Your fear of being hurt,
just like the last time?
Some would say
that in locking up your heart
you risk losing the key
to ever being happy.
I say,
if you don't decide
what you what,
you're guaranteed
to lose me
forever.
