It's just one of those days
where you look at
and hear everything,
but don't really see
or listen to any of it
(and certainly don't remember it).
One of those days
when your brain isn't working
and even your autopilot
fails to get you through the day
without a few bumps.
Just one of those days
when people ask you something
and you simply respond
with a vacant look
and a "yeah",
no matter what the question was.
It's just one of those days
where you forget
everything you should remember
and remember things
better off forgotten.
One of those days
where you think
Thank God it's Friday,
then realize it's Monday.
Just one of those days
where the phrase
"The lights are on,
but nobody's home"
is completely applicable.
