Sometimes I look at you
and wonder.
What kind of thoughts
are behind that laughing smile?
What lies hidden
beyond those dark brown eyes?
So easygoing
and casual,
but I know you have a darker side -
everyone does.
I wonder if I'll ever know it -
the real you,
the hidden you -
or if you'll ever even let me see it.
Just a glimpse,
that's all I ask,
into your secret world,
your secret life,
your soul.
