Why can’t you return my love
You feel the strength in out relationship
We wouldn’t be here, like this, today
If it weren’t for that strength

You felt that way once
What happened to change all that
I know you care because you wouldn’t still be in my life if you didn’t

We may wind up with others in the end
But I want you to know that I will always be there
I will always have that strength

I will never let what we have die
I hope that you, too, still have that strength to carry on this friendship
Through all of the tests it has been put through, and has yet to go.
