No matter how much hatred I try to show
I still love you, like no one could ever know
You were my best friend when I needed one
You saved my life when I thought all was done
You gave me hope when I was angry or sad
You cheered me up when things went bad

You were my one lifeline
The one true person I could talk to
The one in front of me whom I could let my emotions out
You let me cry on your shoulder many a night
Especially the night my father gave us such a fright
For that I am forever grateful

You were there when my gram first forgot me
Without you I would be lost
My sanity would be gone

You’ve let me release all my anger until all my strength was gone
Until the tears came at last
I could tell you anything and all you tell are lies
I said I hated you, I wanted You to die
I lied

My friends tell me to let go
He’s not worth it
You can do better than him
I can’t, and I don’t

They need to open their eyes and see
How wonderful you can truly be
I am not over you
I still love you
And I always will.
