Poem for (insert name here)

The night/day was describe day/night
And (yet) the air was tinged with magic
But even seers and prophets
Could not have foretold
Of the beauty I would behold.
When I first looked into your insert colour here eyes

Those precious windows to your soul
I stared at them for almost an eternity
Comparing them to relative gemstone.

Then I noticed your insert colour here hair
Like use relevant comparison here
E.g. Like rays of golden sun streaming from the heavens
That complimented your eyes so well.

Then I beheld your face fully for the first time



Held captive by your gaze
And make comment regarding key feature
E.g. And your radiant (or ever present) smile
And I knew I was in love.


And when we are together
My life is somehow complete.

I like this very honest as to how we often fall into the trap of cookie cutter poetry or thought for that matter!! :)
