Fun in the Snow

by Angela Hanska

Sights and sounds
Of smiles and laughter
Surrounded by fresh white mounds
Smiling I see the target I am after

I can see him looking for me
So I scoop up some snow and pack it real tight
Glancing I see that he’s no longer where he should be
Then spotting him once more, I prepare to throw with all my might

As I release mine he releases his as well
Both seemed to be aimed just right
Both hit on target as I should tell
It is always fun to have a snow ball fight

So it does not matter whether you see clouds or the sun
Just as long as everyone has fun
