From out of the distance
She heard him call
“Dear God, why can’t I cry?”

an Angel so far away
she could not help the Dreamer
until the time was right

to wait with long-lost patience
and forever longings
and timeless wantings

the longing to comfort
the wanting to help heal
the patience withering away

for at that right time
the Angel will join the Dreamer
and the tears shall flow
