Poets' Night tonight (invitation)
12/27/2007 06:51 p.m.
Dear local poets, and faraway poets and friends,

Tonight's entertainment will be a special year's end
"Flute's-Eye View of History from the Renaissance to
Modern Times" by Rick Wilson.
This will be a description and
demonstration in a historical sequence with musical examples
played on flutes from our collection.
It is a miniature version
of the kind of presentation Rick
gives when invited to universities and
conferences on historical instruments.
He's made you each a small booklet
outlining and illustrating the presentation.
Everyone is welcome!

At our home tonight:
Poetry Workshop 6:30 to 8:30 PM
and entertainment 8:30 to 9 PM
Dinner served throughout as usual.

On Friday Rick and I will drive to San Francisco
to see the first retrospective of the work
of

Joseph Cornell

an artist we greatly admire,
creator of box sculptures and collage.
(The exhibit ends January 6)
And we will pick up Harry Bower, good friend,
wonderful cook and musician on flutes and ukes.
He will visit for a couple of weeks and is planning some
lovely meals and entertainment.
We'll send more details about that
later!

Please call or write if you have questions.
Any thoughts about considered changes of
schedule or the evening's format-- please send in emails.

We look forward to wonderful poetry
music tonight and through the new year!

I love these poets (Kath)
