i caught a bio of guthrie on a local radio show saturday morning (i think) and they were talking about this song. i never knew he wrote it or that it had all the lyrics about private property and such. i find it interesting that that sort of thing is just as relevant today as it was when it was written and i wish that this particular song wasnt cut up into a brainwashing patrotic durge that no one really listens to when it is played today.
