A William Wordsworth/Christian Bale Collaboration

I WANDERED LONELY AS A DARK KNIGHT

[William Wordsworth - odd numbered verses, Christian Bale - even numbered verses]

I wandered lonely as a dark knight
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Am I going to walk around
And rip your fucking lights down
In the middle of a stanza?
What the fuck is with you?
Why don't you fucking understand?
What don't you get about it?

Continuous as the stars that shin
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

Let's not take a fucking minute,
Let's go again.
I've never had a poet behave like this.
You don't fucking understand
What it's like to be an actor.
That's what that is man.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed--and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

You do it one more time
And I'm walking off this collaboration.
I'm fucking serious.
You're a nice guy Bill, but that don't cut it
When you're bullshitting and fucking around.
Seriously man, you and me, we're fucking done.

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Fucking ass!
