| Posted by Charlie Morgan on 05/13/08 at 01:16 PM ...dig it!, congrats for the grandmotherness-role-to-be-assumed...mebride had an aversion to anything in-and-or-around the nny of the said role, she had a nana, and big mama(which nearly is a sentence in itself--she shook out fear from all the lil' kids, she was sorta gruff and nana had some real cherokee blood (just fyi)(tribe-dropping, eh?) and was a *smack-0* human being alllll that to say this ali, i love paw paw...whereas mebride Pat, goes by go go and she is a busy woman therefore it is fitting and yet she come up w/ that one to shy away from the granniness...pshaw on her i say to you and i've said to her...but like so many things, i can't imagine her being anyone(thing)else, so ali, queen of sheba you go out into a field and think, girl, think until blood pours out your forehead, no wait that's an anne dillard line...love, charlie... |
| Posted by A. Paige White on 05/13/08 at 06:01 PM You are in for such joy! Having experienced the heavenly beauty of a grandson myself, I can fully relay to you that grandchildren are the dessert of life. Not stepping on anyone else's toes is why I am Nana. My mom is grannie for my kids and the other grandmother took Mawmaw so I took Nana, which he modified to nanny and nanny it is. One small additional bonus to Nana/nanny is *teeheeeheeeeee* it's easier for a baby to say so.... you just might be as fortunate as me and he will say Nana first, before mama or dada, cause Logan did! Congratulations Ali! I know you will be a terrific grandmother. |
