The Journal of Max Phineas Thoughts
11/06/2007 10:10 p.m.
Dear You,
Sometimes, as silly as it sounds, I forget to live my life. I fall into the comforts of routine, and I shield myself with the ordinary. I ignore the spontaneous things life has to offer, for fear of making some life-altering mistake, or being WRONG. Is there really anyone other than me, putting these completely unreasonable constraints on myself that include always having to be right and rational and calculated? I love it here, but I don't want this all to be planned and calculated.
So thank you, for reminding me that I can take risks and be wrong and be adventurous. For dragging me out at midnight to do absolutely nothing productive- or absolutely nothing at all. Thank you for helping me find my confidence, by laughing at every dumb joke, and for keeping me grounded. Thank you for showing me that I can let the rain hit my forehead without freezing, and that jackets are optional if it's above 40 degrees. Thanks for splashing through puddles, and pushing me into the mud.
And pulling me out again. I am currently Upbeat
