He brought me his bible verse list and the name of the church whose pastor was the only one that came to visit the prisoners in jail and brought bibles to give out. LOL... it would be a baptist church. Jarrod got one and has been reading it voraciously. His whole demeanor is different. He's gone now to take a couple of rolls of toilet paper, bar of soap and a couple of jr bacon cheese burgers to Bobby, the trustee that has no one.The new socks and underwear I sent him that he didn't use he gave to the guys still in there that had none and no one to bring them any. Wow. I have a feeling Jarrod's going to be going into some type of prison ministry. Just through three traffic tickets. The officer that came and got him really worked hard to get him out of jail. They dropped the charges for no tag and reckless driving, no insurance if he could give the judge proof of insurance today. It was going to be a mandatory 6 month jail term for the contempt of court. Billy Ray paid almost $400 to get him liability insurance. It was a one day window.
10 days in jail sure made an impression on this 18 year old. He was standing in the kitchen and spread his arms wide saying, wow, this space seems so big. Lol, I walked into the living room once to find him and Kim trying to suck each other's faces off. Yuck. It was fun picking at them. Thank you Lord, for working in all our lives through this and help me to be a good mama, leading him right by example, reading your word and praying with him daily. Forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness so that I can hear your voice plainly in how to help him be the man you want him to be. My heart is singing for joy at your goodness.
Thank you.
On an upbeat note, we three women folks are having a hairy leg competition. The one that rips the sheets with them first....
wins!
