Megan and Jarrod both had strange dreams last night. Somehow we're still together in our family love that doesn't stop even after Friday night's row. It was a doozy too.
As they both shared the details (after Megan shared that Logan saw and was talking to Daniel again Friday when she was getting ready for work) we found the common denominators. Some of the details were funny, some scary and some just mysterious. Pharoah to picnic tables. She suggested as I was washing dishes that we just take a trip together as a family, like we used to but never do anymore. I jumped on it. I love my kids so much and we're barely real family anymore. Strangers. Of course Alex has to go. He was in both dreams. We WILL pray together before we leave and ask God to knit us back together in a new way, a stronger tie that His love bind us in the unity of His spirit for his purposes. Those old picnic tables blocking both lanes of his dream, stopping his journey is not insignificant either. I know that much. I know our spirits must be fed and old methods won't work anymore.
Jesus, I thank you for this opportunity of allowing us to really bare our hearts and souls and come together again by our love for each other. Please guard our time together, bless it, and let us become the real family you mean for us to be. Amen
