Are you crunk with Jesus?
08/24/2006 11:20 p.m.
I saw that posted on a church sign driving home from work today ~ had to take a second look to make sure I was reading it correctly.

I have no idea what "crunk" means. Do I need to be crunk with Jesus? Am I already and didn't know it? I guess I should keep tabs on the growing lingo more often.

So if anyone out there in PPS land knows what that means ~ please advise. I sure don't want to be left out.

Guess that just shows my coolness factor in life is zip.
I am currently Unsure
I am listening to my doggies barkin.

Hi Shonda. Crunk is kinda sorta, a "state of heightened excitement". Possibly a combo of the words, crazy and drunk.

Shon, I found out one thing, if you want to know about language changes - ask a teenager. That's where most of our language changes come from. Greg could be right...I've never heard the term though, and it could be a regionalism.

that's the beauty of language. you're never going to kno every word and there isn't a correct language. it's constantly developed and changing, and is whatever one wants to make of it. hence, poetry. hence, getting crunk with jesus.

hehehe... crunk with Jesus. I've never heard the expression before, but I like it. I'll have to ask my 17 year old when he gets back. I like Gregory's combo suggestion - crazy drunk. Yeah. Like it alot. thanks for the chuckle, y'all.
