The Journal of Joseff Marat [soundless one]
11/03/2005 11:24 p.m.
lately i've been working on my frame of mind when i write music. for example, to create a true ambient work (which i'm obsessive about), really tried to bridge the gap between touch and sound with my own piece of musique d'ameublement (furniture music; see journal entry on related subject).
thus,
what notes can describe the halflight of 5:00am - in the wet streets of a soundless city; the street lights are losing their effect; a thin mist rolls up from the falls in the valley below. in the distance, headlights can be seen as a man with the early shift sits semi-huddled in his car - seeking warmth - wiping away the fog from his windshield.
the lights turn from red to green - but no one passes their way.
a girl, working her way through college, turns on the neon sign, letting everyone know that her espresso stand is open.
I am currently Anxious
I am listening to "End of the Affair" by me.
