"...dissonant reverberation cause by noise disrupts focus on a particular aural lead which opens possibilities for original events in scale and latitude.
Much of what we hear moves in rounded waves through "planes of consistency" transforming experiences accordingly. For instance, abrupt noise makes us alert to an event occurring in both corporeal and temporal frames, such as a fire siren simultaneously giving rise to an image of flames and the dream-like event of something being on fire." - Brian Eno - Architect of Sound [article by Jules Head in the spring 2005 issue of Skyscraper {18}]
my notes read: "patterns, whether unpatterned or not, create solid images of something in the mind."
unpatterned patterns would be something with a similar consistency to the first - possibly some sort of mathmatical addition to the first - keeping the prime in focus whilst adding other material. never returning to the origin.
what's unpatterned then?
non-consistency or a harmonic that is tainted. a similarity at best - but unattached to the origin. I am currently Stimulated
I am listening to "mantophasmatodea" by orphax
