"Individuals have been completely transformed into an information process."
-Qiu Zhijie

In this city of wind
faces drift from here to there
with the falling leaves.

Art is the attempt to tear something human from one's flesh and recreate it with that which is inhuman. The artist loses pieces of himself with each work, and so becomes something less than human each day. We view art in order to glean and devour the human elements from what is presented. A whole human does not need art, yet no one can go without it. No one is whole? Then everyone must be an artist.

Eventually one gets struck so many times, the observer can't tell when or where each new bruise begins.

What's so funny about nipples anyway?

Slapback.

What is the use in documenting a stranger's mortality? In personal memory, they will be immortal until you yourself die.

Peppermint water is pretty neat, but expensive.

A pregnant woman says
"I will die"
Her baby is kicking
in frustration

The artist is never superior to the work. The whole artist is merely a conduit through which the work announces itself. Take less pride in what was created than in the creation that chose you.

Listen to what you're saying
It is both why you smile
and why your smile fades
someday
your face will be gone

Once I have seen
your face,
I can no longer
live under masks.

My mother would cry
to see that her city
is now made of crumpled paper

Eva Cassidy

It's always money!

Which part of me is romancing you?
I am currently Tired
I am listening to Nick Drake - River Man
