New favorite phrase for a nerdy English major

Last night I was watching Law and Order SVU, which I find disturbing but I am hooked on it, and the ADA prosecutor used the following fancy adage at the end of her speech: An eye for an eye and the whole world is blind.

It's true. I realized what a huge freaking nerd I was when I said "Hey, nice adage. That's good rhetoric." So now my new favorite compliment is "that's good rhetoric."

I love it.
