The Journal of Madeline Pestolesi The Joy of Weird Books
07/16/2003 04:16 a.m.
Yesterday Randi, my awesome neighbor, gave me "The Joy of Sex." Before then, I'd of course heard of this book, but never experienced it for myself. I only had time to flip through it, but it was pretty amusing. I mean, it just talked about sex so frankly which is odd. It was talking about all these things that people whisper and giggle to each other about and acting like they are perfectly normal. Which made me realize that sex is perfectly normal. I am 21 and I am still programmed into thinking it's bad, when it isn't. Obviously, there are circumstances when it is bad. It can be used as a weapon and devestate people, but generally, it's healthy, and relaxing. Not that I should talk. I'm not getting any. I probably never will again. Also, today a girl who always buys coffee from me at work told me that I will find my souldmate with a shaved head. When I meet people now, I can tell how superficial they are. If they judge me by my 1/2 inch hair, it's not my problem. So it's kind of nice to see people how they really are when I first meet them, as opposed to people who play nice for a few days or dates, and then the asshole emerges. Anyway, Randi's here talking about her bathroom door, so I'm off. I am currently Good
