and so the wait begins

I opened the door to my rib cage,
and let you fly into my heart
but,

I never meant to keep you prisoner there.
and now that you have flown away,
I am left here waiting.

Waiting for the great migration
to bring back to me,
a flighty companion.

I'll wait forever,
to call you a friend again.
I am currently Affectionate
I am listening to My dog snore
