when it hits home

i have always been the friend who listens. the one who sits next to you when you spill your latest complaint; the doc is in. i always seem to know what to say. in my case however, all anyone can seem to muster is an 'i'm sorry that happened to you'. i am not denying the sincerity of the response, but the defeated tone that accompanied it.:::
...so female meets male. male offers some assistance in a situation that female is experiencing. a short time after this, male lets female know he's interested and they should get a hotel room in which they can 'better acquaint themselves'. female rejects invitation. female doesnt hear from male and male stops assisting in situation.

it doesnt take a genius to highlight that some perspective has been lost when the only response i can get is "that's just how men are"???!!! and if a woman decides that she's going to let him know that she's offened, she's a "bi***"?

forgive me, i am having a hard time swallowing this one...
