The Journal of Matthew Taylor

been away so long....
09/13/2012 04:44 p.m.
today I saw a poem my son posted on facebook, and decided to try to see if my poetry was still here, it's been almost 20 months since my love, my wife departed this Godforsaken place to Paradise...I still weep and miss her dearly every day. God is my only hope, if Jesus is Who He says He was/is, my life is not over, my eternity is still in tact.

wow...long time!
01/23/2010 04:18 a.m.
as I sit and read my own works, I feel as if I'd never heard some of the words, my emotions are impacted, surprised, and, yes a bit proud. I see my son in myself, although he is beyond my talents by miles...he is the true writer and creative genius, one day, hopefully before I'm gone I'll see him get an award, a reward...it's due. as I reflect, I am pleased my feelings have not shifted, maybe enhanced, for the better. my pets, my wife, kids...and my God are still in my focus.

One life ended, another began
10/08/2006 12:57 a.m.
On sept. 5th I lost my 15 yr old labrador Brandi to a barrage of health issues, she hung in there out love for us, and lived about a year and a half more than anyone expeceted, it was a devastating loss. Out of grief, out of love out of our hearts we decided to save a dog from euthanization and adopt another lab mix, in honor of Branny's memory. She is a true blessing, a mini- me of the best dog ever, and a loving sweet pup, Brandi would be proud of her. She has taken me from days of sitting around crying, to days of laughter and training! She will be here for a long time. She will never replace Branny, but she will most certainly honor her memory and fill a void in 4 hearts, Bran, we miss you every day , you were still and will always be THE BEST ONE. Thank You Dear God for bringing Bailey our way!!
You understand it ALL! I'm back on my feet again.

the elite
03/31/2006 06:39 a.m.
maybe someday i'll see my name when I sign on, there seems to be an elite inner circle of co supporters who keep the marquee name lit up, always the same few names up there, there are many other talented writers here, who never, ever get recognized! it's a conspiracy, lol, tell me why...

a cavalcade collides, erupts and vanishes, it seems every time I get jazzed over something I write nobody reads it, ha ha....my least faves get many reads, but those I want others to see get few, it's all timing I guess. Stroke me, please. love and blessings to all.

in this new endeavor, my feet are getting wet, but still do not know how to navigate this site, or make friends, like me, like me! please...ha ha! any and all comments , jabs and just plain talking to another guy are welcome. I 'm trying to add a few poems per week, and evetually get my old stuff from notebooks and pads in my library as well.
Any advice is appreciated and critism recieved without ruffling my feathers, so go ahead , rate me, love me, hate me..ha ha. my love to all you people, Godspeed.
