The Journal of Madeline Pestolesi Lost Lake
08/27/2004 03:39 a.m.
Yesterday I got back from backpacking at Lost Lake. It was amazing, I could not believe how beautiful it was. Hills, lakes, glaciers, it was awesome. I never backpacked before and it was harder than I thought it would be, but not anything I couldn't handle. I don't know if I could do it for weeks though.
I'm glad Shane will be back soon. I just wish I knew when. I am currently Bummed
I am listening to Rain (it's about time)

I would also like to add that awkward-date-guy keeps showing up at my work. I'm not sure why, I have shown absolutely no interest and he's 31. I'm 22. I'm also over it.
And my car broke on friday.

FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
08/05/2004 11:49 p.m.
I am DONE with summer classes! Well, I have to solder my last stained glass window tonight, but I really enjoy doing that. I've finished all my crappy history papers, and now I never have to take history again. I know it's bad, but I really just don't care. I do have passions, just not with history. Yes. I must go.
I am currently on top of the world I am listening to an errant weed-wacker

Don't mean to complain
08/05/2004 07:06 a.m.
I don't mean to complain, but why is it that the LESS interested I seem in someone, they more they want to bother me? Why do my stoic facial expressions and short responses make them think that they should continue to stop by and bug me at work, when I'm trapped and I can't get away.
It's very annoying. The ones I like never bug me. Why is that?
I am currently perplexed (yes, good word!) I am listening to Jamiroquai (I know, right?)

Skirted
08/03/2004 08:20 a.m.
I have just written two pages on the subject of the U.S. acquisition of the Philippines without giving all that much actual information on the U.S. acquisition of the Philippines. This will not help my journalism skills. But that's what summer classes are all about. Skirting subjects to do the least amount of work possible. If you can believe it, I had a full load this summer. I got 9 credits for writing 16 crappy two-page-double-spaced history papers. It was a telecourse. I never had to go to class. I didn't watch a video or read a book. For all the essays, I just researched on the internet. (I read a lot of different sites to make sure they were accurate.) My other 3 credits were for stained glass, which was basically a bunch of people hanging out making windows every thursday. The people in that class made a lot of penis jokes, but I enjoyed it. (Everyone likes penis jokes, even if they don't admit it.)
Sometimes a little B.S. (or in this case, a lot) will go a long way.
I am currently better than I was earlier I am listening to Drunk neighbors (yup, same ones, still)

Micsoda?

I don't think I've ever been this happy. Not only am I the happiest I have ever been, but I got that way on my own. Well, some friends helped, as well as some hard core thought sessions, but I am the one who did it. Also, to brag some more, I'm in the best shape I've been in for a long time. You should check out my guns and be afraid.
Be very afraid.
Also, Bree is getting married in a week. I can't wait to go to a wedding for someone I really love and care about. It's going to be so nice.
I am currently succulent

Best job ever
07/29/2004 05:10 a.m.
I have the best job ever. I really do. It's so easy and laid back and my boss is so nice. Just wanted to gush about that. Not working at the hellish bagel factory is the best move I made this summer (one of them anyway.)

Journalism
07/28/2004 07:34 p.m.
I think I should become a journalist. Stick around for 10 minutes and you can see me change my mind again. But I actually think I'd be good at it. And I could travel. And I could eventually infiltrate the system to spread my message. I like that part especially.
I am currently the best person I have ever been I am listening to Built to Spill-Carry the zero
