The Journal of Michelle Calhoun

Here at Last....
04/01/2003 10:47 p.m.

I am finally back for the first time since the "Big Crash". I wasn't sure that I would ever get here though. Someone declined my application for "American Pride" I was never so shocked in my life. It was probably an unpatriotic communist. LOL I see nothing wrong with God or Patriotism in our "politically correct" society of today. Personally I think we could use more of it. Whomever you were, I want you to know that right this very moment I am sticking my tongue out at you and telling you that I think you are #1 in my book.(read between the lines) I know that this isn't very Christian but aren't I allowed a childish moment once in awhile?
I would like to thank the following people for their continued support: My Loving husband Adrian, my dear friend Cathlyn and Quentin for just being there and allowing me to post my works at WordChimes while I impatiently waited for Pathetic. You are all unique in your own special way and hold a special place within my heart. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Most of you who read Adrian's journal are aware of the shop/garage project. I am pleased to say that it is coming along nicely with lots of blood, sweat and tears. (All of which are Adrian's, poor guy!!!) Over the weekend I even got up on the roof and helped with the shingles. I really did have fun. I guess that will be my contribution so that way I can now at least say that I helped. I truly enjoyed working alongside my husband. That is a rare opportunity. It was a true "Kodak" moment and something that I will never forget. I wonder how much slave labor pays? LOL
On a different note, I enrolled yesterday to finish my pharmacology classes. I can no longer perform as a "one-armed" nurse so I thought that this would be as close as I could get to still being in the medical field which is my one true love. Also it should be something that I can do with my many new permanent restrictions. I have much knowledge already of the medications so it should be a breeze. They told me that it would normally takes 18 months in addition to all of my previous classes but they said with my grades and GPA from the other classes that I could probably finish in about 8-9 months. I am excited. I love modern technology because I will be able to take advantage of the new online courses.
I can say that God has been good to us despite our obstacles. His goodness and faithfulness to us never ceases to amaze me.

I am currently Blessed
I am listening to the tumbling of the clothes dryer
