Johnny Cash and John Ritter
09/16/2003 08:40 p.m.
The world recently witnessed the passing of two more great Icons. Although quite different, both men touched many and both possessed the American Country "roots."

Johnny Cash came from a troubled early life of obsecurity and drugs to finding life in Christ and spreading this message to many through his unique style of music. Many will always remember the haunting baritone voice, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash" before he would sing. I, alsog with many felt as if it wouldn't be long after the passing of his beloved wife and best friend, June Carter Cash, that Johnny would soon follow. Thanks for the memories, Johnny. I will look forward to hearing your songs again from that great stage in heaven.

John Ritter was known as the star of the prime time comedy, "Three's Company." However, he was also the son of the famous country artist of "Hillbilly Heaven" and many sounds of Nashville, Tex Ritter. Although different from his Dad, John still had the good ol' American country "roots."

Both legends named John will be missed. Thanks for the memories!
