Misti made me dinner.  I never thought it was possible for her to make edible food! (Okay... kidding, kidding... sheesh)

It was good, and I was glad she did so because I'm sick and did not feel like making it myself. :)

About that Job Interview...

For those of you I told about the job interview I had... I got the job!  They told me on the spot.

I had an interview and then had to teach a "mock-class".  It went great :)  They said they don't normally tell people right away even if they are pretty certain they have the job, but in my case, they wanted to tell me right away. 

yay!

I was just reading through some poetry libraries this morning, and one poem struck me so much that I sat there, reading it over again. (poem/author will remain anonymous)

I commented on it, but my comment could not reflect exactly how I felt, and how it really affected me.


It made me begin to think about this community as a whole, and what a beautiful thing it is.

No matter where you are during the day, your poems are laying there, waiting to be read, and probably some will be read. And out of those read, at least one will leave an imprint on the person reading it.

Maybe a cheerful poem you wrote brought someone out of a sadness they were feeling. A poem about hurt feelings woke someone up to how they were treating other people. Etc.Etc.

You can affect someone no matter what time of day it is, no matter what you are doing. And I think this is beautiful. Both for the poet and the reader.


I'm starting to get this deep, warm feeling inside because this is the first time I truly realized that other people have read my poems, and looking at my page views, more people than I ever thought would. Pretty much every poet library is a also curious reader just as much as a poet.

I guess what I mean is, its so easy to create the poets existence within their poems, but they are seperate. I could have affected someone just as other people's poems have affected me. And this curiousity alone makes me feel great :)
