02/03/28 My day started out very well when a woman probably in her fouties standing at a counter with her daughter. Called me "good looking" after I had asked to be excused reaching for the coffee urn at acoffee shop near my home. I'm still floating on air the air of my ego of course.

I'm thinking about the lyrics of a great song "Fire and Rain" sung by James Taylor. It is a wonderful sunny ,clear cold day and I'm down a bit. I find myself worrying about things I never dreamt I'd be worrying about years ago. My house is my fortress today wherein I want to hole up and listen to my jazz music. I thirst for David Brubeck and Miles Davis.

02/2/14 Today is cold and clear with some clouds and blue skies. It is a perfect day to go outside and enjoy my favourite season. The winds off Lake Huron are near fourty miles an hour. A perfect day for me.

02/1/24 I am a bit introspective today. I'm in a mood to write and somewhat on edge which is good. I might be better going for a long walk in the woods, to put things in perspective.

12/24/01 I'll be glad when Christmas is over, because to me Christmas seems to be getting more "commercial." Here in Canada Thanksgiving day was on October 14th. The radio and TV ads started the next day.
A giant marketing opportunity for commercial interests I say. Bah humbug.

01/12/4 I find a quiet walk in the woods is a good perspective adjuster. It to me mirrors things going on in my everyday life,like a day or a walk no two are the same.

01/11/15 I really enjoy reading the fine,poetry here at pethetic.org. There are so many very young student poets. In my view talented poets who write ferom the heart. I look forward to visiting here hopefully for many more years.

It is cool and windy today my kind of weather. Summer heat and humidity just are I like "active" weather that has something to say. Icall anytime between October and June "Poetry " weather. Tomorrow I'm going to walk a trail in the forest.
