Farewell my Friends

Lay me gently into the waves
When it’s my time to go
Return me to the ocean blue
And play The Minstrel Boy
To sleep the sleep of evermore
To rest till time stands still
Lay me gently into to the waves
And wash my soul away
Farewell to all I leave behind
Your tears are my reward
unto my sleep I take your love
to warm me in my grave
My heart I leave to all of you
in the words I've set to page
your memories of my love
to help you on your way
