by Adrian Foster

All these years I've spent with you

Promises made that never come true

I have your heart

Or so you say

Take it back the very next day

The emotion you show

Is never the same

While mine is constant

And you say I'm to blame

The words of others matter more

Than what I speak

It's been like that forever

Though I never turn my cheek

And it hurts to know

That you and I

Will never be

You're still married

And happy

With him

No matter how things may be

So it has come to this

And there is definitely

No doubt

All these years "together"

Were just a temporary

And emotionally abusive

Way out

Author's Note: To ~L~ ....why would you do that to someone? I can only imagine that you played the same games with Bryan and, most likely, that cop you were screwin' back in highschool. Anyway, a real woman, who knows what she has, doesn't go flaunting herself around to everybody who gives her the slightest bit of attention. But you eat that shit up, I know. Especially when you purposely go out and buy new outfits to show yourself off in. Well, years ago. Not so much now. The showing yourself off part that is. Funny how easy those dresses came off. What was it you said back when we were together? "I'm in great shape and have a damn good looking body and I'm going to make sure that everybody in this town knows it!" "You should be thankful that you have somebody who looks as good as me standing by your side!" have no idea how unattractive that is. But I know you didn't/don't care. Narcissistic Sociopath.
