Mass Gains,Isolates, Caesin,Creatine and other Monohydrates

by Johnny Crimson

I'll make my way
in the gym.
I'll take my gains
there.
My lumps, learned, forcefully
learned.

Not many poets
in the gym.
Muscles and words,
mix much like
leg day and "everything" day.

Truth is,
the more I'm there,
the more I lift
and the larger my body parts get,

the more I lose the ability to write,
the desire to come here and
force words on a page.

I'm becoming a bodybuilder,
and I want to forget how
to put together a poem.

Apparently testosterone
is the key to simplicity.

gyms may make for muscles galore but they do nothing to increase the size of the heart, for which the poet is known. this poem has lots of heart which is to say, for its great big aorta, it is not likely to succumb to a philosophy composed of barbells.
