I Fell In Love With A Gardener

by Jared Orlando

I fell in love with a gardener
She dug out my chest
Planting lilacs where my lungs were
Basil around my arteries
Thyme in my kidneys
I fell in love with a gardener
But she never pulled the weeds
She only found beauty in the
Fuck ups
And watered them just the same

Really like the image of a gardener digging out a ribcage. Good stuff.
