anticipating winds wake by Maria Massarella
mantled in moonless mist
you conceal your luminescence
adumbrating stars’sparkle
veiling in mystery wind’s repose
solitude seals my lips
immersed in galactic nothingness
my poetry and I shield sound
dormant my pen lies
on pages bereaved of words
yet...inspiration lurks -
there in the beyond where
libertine thoughts as-sail zephyric dreams
as do my lips curve around your name
so does my pen’s memory seek ink’s flow
probes silence
like the intrepid sun’s ray breaking into another dawn
dismisses the fog
introduces
the new day

Posted by George Hoerner on 01/31/13 at 12:03 AM Very nice lady. But though the sun shines through at the end it still carries a level of sadness to my heart. |
Posted by Ken Harnisch on 01/31/13 at 07:46 PM ah, you bring effloresence even to melancholy..and this is the epitome of excellent poetry, Maria! |
Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 01/31/13 at 11:44 PM This, Maria, this speaks for me to someone I dearly miss here... dismissing the fog seems an earthquake away still... love abides. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 03/02/13 at 12:42 AM Love the title...anticipation of what the new day will bring. Great capture of the dry season, the calm before the storm? : immersed in galactic nothingness
my poetry and I shield sound
dormant my pen lies
on pages bereaved of words
