It's that time again by Keith D AllisonWhen cold chills breathe
Heavy, heavy the heart
it's that season again
for many tears to flow
Look into the mirror
set the image before
the hair is so white
the beard hides
the age of the face
Ain't no elf you see
ain't got a tree
just a taste
of misery
All the children are gone
somewhere else I guess that where they belong
walk through the halls you'll find the barrenness
to see
no reason to decorate
just me
Though the outside is bright
the inside dark
no Christmas for me
put the tree in the yard
Fill the outside trees with lights
put the icicles on the frame of the House
spread a little cheer
For time has passed when beauty reap
Now it's dark in here

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 12/04/11 at 07:56 PM Fact is Christmas can be a lonely, lonely, and all in all, the effort to be happy and have pleasure makes many honest hearts grow dark with despair instead of beaming with good will and cheerfulness.I hear your message too loud and too clear. Thanks. |
